Sheri will be there as much or a little as you need. She's intuitive but almost like a good Mom....she'll let you learn by messing up and coach you openly and honestly if you are messing up. “I could not have passed the CPNE without coming to the onsite workshop…” I have no doubt I could not have passed the CPNE without coming to the onsite workshop and then using the online workshop afterward. I practiced careplans everyday and watched all the videos on the website over and over. One key thing is to make sure you do things in the patients room the same as you do it in the lab. For instance, I had to give insulin and a flush to my patients and it's very important to think of all the steps for the labs when you are in the patients room preparing to give those things. Remember to ASPIRATE before you flush! I was also nervous that there would be something in the CPNE that I didn't study for, but there never was. The workshop prepared me for exactly what they expected me to do. Overall you have to control your nerves and follow your grid in order to be successful at this. If you make your grid and don't follow it you will forget to wash your hands or check the patients ID. It is so easy to forget a simple thing when you are under so much stress, so just look at your grid, check one thing off as you do it, and move to the next thing. Overall it was a good experience, but you have to take it a moment at a time. Do not look to far ahead or you'll miss something you should be doing right now. Good luck. - Noel Albritton

I had attended another person's workshop and did not get half as much out of it as I have from Sheri's workshop on line, I wish I could have go to the live workshop but was not able to manage that. I can honestly say that the first time I took the CPNE and did not pass even though I had gone to a workshop and thought that I was prepared I was not there were so many things that the person who's workshop I went to left out and he made the careplans seem like a breeze which is not the case as well as the PCS which is not the case. I am happy to say that my second time around I did PASS the CPNE in thanks to what I learned from Sheri's online workshop, I could write a care plan in less than 5 minutes and had no problem with the evaluation phase and the rationale after I had taken the workshop. I used the online CPNE workshop as a supplement to all my other data. It put things in an understandable order that I feel helped me pass my weekend. I do recommend this program. I am a hands on, visual learner and do not think I would of passed without this online system. I did another workshop but it did not have hands on stuff included. “I joined the online workshop and it was the answer to my prayer…” “Sheri's online workshop is a blessing to any and all preparing for the cpne… I can tell you the she is exactly right on what to expect and what is required of you… I retested at Grady Memorial hospital this weekend for the third time and passed with one repeat lab, thanks to sheri taylors support and online workshop she supported me throughout every clinical and she is an excellent resource to passing the cpne whether you are taking it for the first ,second, or third time. The first time I tested , I tested at grday and passed everything but my IV PUSH LAB due to bubbles in the syringe on the first night hands shaking like a tree branch on a windy day, when i went back the next day passed both pcs then failed the lab because i just couldnt focus I was too nervous, so please please please, control your nerves don't let them control you.I had not attended sheris workshop at that point, she she supported me through it all, the second time I tested at gwinette and this time i failed because the first night there was a bubble in the side of my syringe that I did not see and I handed it ti the CE whom stated , I didn't even check the syringe before passing it to her, the next day I ran out of time because I had more bubble trouble, again sheri supported and encouraged me up to this very day, then I joined the online workshop and it was the answer to my prayer, i regained the courage to try again and she has an awesome bubble technique that works like a charm, the online workshop is very inexpensive and very much worth it by the way grady is an excellent site the ce's and ca are wonderful, extremely helpful and really want you to pass i didnt retest there the second time because I was too embarrassed to show my face because i cried like a maniac.
